Today’s field measurements continue to show stable conditions across all three monitoring locations, with salinity and TDS readings remaining consistent with previous days. Slight variations reflect normal daily changes in groundwater and surface water interaction.

Instrument: YSI Pro30 – handheld field probe for salinity, TDS, and temperature.

Observations

  • Upstream remains fresh to slightly brackish, indicating stable flow conditions above the well field.

  • The Well Cluster continues to show brackish characteristics but maintains consistency with prior readings.

  • Hazel Bazemore continues to reflect minor mixing near the Calallen area, remaining within typical seasonal values.

The consistent TDS and salinity data this week suggest steady groundwater interaction despite minor rainfall events and operational changes in nearby wells.

Community Update

As part of ongoing transparency, daily measurements like these help document the relationship between surface water and groundwater in the lower Nueces basin. Consistent monitoring supports conservation planning and ensures local awareness of evolving water conditions.
